Qemetica, together with PreZero Poland, is preparing an investment to develop a waste-to-energy facility on the grounds of the soda plant in Inowrocław (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). The project is valued at an estimated PLN 1.5–2 billion. The facility's capacity is expected to reach approximately 310,000 tons of waste per year, enabling the recovery of thermal and electrical energy used in the soda production processes. An environmental decision has already been issued for the project. For more than a decade, PreZero has been one of the leaders in the waste management market. In Poland, the company employs over 4,000 people and operates in nearly 50 locations, with a network of 12 waste processing facilities and a fleet of more than 1,000 vehicles. This infrastructure enables the company to handle the full waste management cycle—from collection and transport to sorting and recycling, as well as the production of alternative fuels and thermal treatment. The technologies used by the company help increase the level of material recovery and reduce the volume of waste fractions unsuitable for reuse.
