Budimex to carry out foundation works for the Port Polska terminal under a PLN 146 million contract

CPK has signed an agreement with Budimex worth nearly PLN 146 million for foundation works under the passenger terminal of the new airport being developed as part of the Port Polska programme. According to information gathered by PREM, construction works are scheduled to begin in September 2026, after a building permit is obtained from the Mazowieckie Province Governor and the investor takes possession of the land covered by the project. The scope of the contract includes the execution of more than 8,000 foundation piles and columns with lengths ranging from 9 to 30 m. The total length of ground-reinforcement elements will exceed 140 km. The works are expected to be completed at the turn of 2027 and 2028. The passenger terminal will be one of the key facilities of the Port Polska programme. On its opening day, the new airport is expected to reach a capacity of 34-44 million passengers annually and handle more than 300,000 aircraft operations per year. The investment also includes the construction of two independent runways. CPK also plans to select the contractor for the passenger terminal in 2026. Five consortia, comprising a total of 16 companies, including 14 Polish enterprises, are competing for the contract. The estimated cost of the programme through 2032 amounts to PLN 131.7 billion.
