
Ingarden & Ewy has won the architectural competition announced by the Małopolska Voivodeship Office in Kraków, in cooperation with the Association of Polish Architects, for the concept design of the new headquarters of the Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic in Kraków. The project involves the development of a 2-hectare site located in the immediate vicinity of Rondo Grzegórzeckie, between Powstania Warszawskiego Avenue and Pokoju Avenue. The planned building will have a usable floor area of 18,900 m² and will include, among others, a concert hall with an audience capacity of 1,900 seats, a chamber hall with 300 seats, a foyer for up to 2,500 visitors, recording studios, rehearsal and conference rooms, as well as catering facilities. An underground car park with an area of approximately 10,000 m² is also planned. The investment value is estimated at PLN 415 million gross. The second prize was awarded to gmp Architekten, while distinctions were granted to Plus3 Architekci, Pitagoras Group and JSK Architekci. Completion of the project is scheduled for the turn of 2031/2032.
